I’ll start this post with a few of my favorite dog quotes:
“Dogs are our link to paradise. They don’t know evil or jealousy or discontent. To sit with a dog on a hillside on a glorious afternoon is to be back in Eden, where doing nothing was not boring –it was peace” (Milan Kundera)
“I think dogs are the most amazing creatures; they give unconditional love. For me, they are the role model for being alive.” (Gilda Radner)
“The average dog is a nicer person than the average person.” (Andy Rooney)
These quotes are so true. It’s unimaginable to me at this point to consider life without a dog – it would be half-lived (you can quote me on that.)
I want to introduce you to a dog that is looking for a forever home – his name is Raulie. He is a Dachshund and Chihuahua mix but has the temperament of a small Lab! Raulie is a lover and likes to hike and play. He is 8 months old. I think it’s a pretty good bet that he would worm his way into your heart in no time!
Raulie was rescued by The Rescue Train, an amazing non-profit no-kill organization, which is supported by creative and dedicated volunteers. I hope you will look into adopting Raulie, and explore the amazing work being done by The Rescue Train to save our four-legged friends. You can click on the links to Raulie or The Rescue Train for contact information.
And I’ll close this post with my husband’s favorite dog quote (he’s also a big dog lover, among other things):
“Just give me a comfortable couch, a dog, a good book, and a woman. Then if you can get the dog to go somewhere and read the book, I might have a little fun!” (Groucho Marx)
Until next time.
